I recently received some gear to test from Lidl. Now that I am back into the full swing of things I decided to complete my review and share with you. It seems that many keen tri-athletes and adventure racers as well as lots of other athlete’s end up spending a fortune on cycling and running gear. Every now and then some good gear comes along at a good price and I was delighted to be given the chance by Aoife Clarke, from marketing in Lidl to give this tri suit a go. Check out the video below for an idea of what the gear looks like. The suit is a good fit, has good cushioning for a tri suit and is no warmer than any suit I have worn before. I have used it for 2 hour sessions on the watt bike and had no chafing issues. The Crivit Pro is definately worth a go. Look out for the sales on bike gear in Lidl and stock up while you can!
Thanks to Hugh O Neill and Club Vitae for the little video. Strange having a video taken in the gym!
As I ramp up my training again I hope to blog again during the week and update my latest goals and training plans. Next up is the small task of completing the Wicklow Way 127km race on the 10th of June. First of all I have a big promotion match on Saturday to look forward to with Maree Oranmore FC. We have built a great squad this year and added some great young talent. Hopefully the premier division awaits!
